BB Cream

BB Cream, also known as Blemish Balm. It is a cosmetic product that is mainly sold in Far Eastern markets (Asia). Currently BB cream is also becoming popular in the European market.  


The BB cream formula was designed in Germany by Christine Schrammek in 1967. Preliminary, BB cream was used by dermatologists to help laser surgery patients protect, soothe and refine highly sensitive skin whilst providing light coverage for post-laser scars, acne and other blemishes. Although BB cream was not designed for Asian markets, it became very popular due to its unusual effect of reducing the general skin imperfections like acne scars or other blemishes.


Various formulations of BB cream have  the effect of anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, whitening, moisturizing, and regenerative effect on your skin.  They also contain UV filters helping to reduce the effects of aging. BB creams can be used as a base for make-up due to excellent skin coverage capabilities.
